Terms and Conditions

We may modify these terms or any additional terms from time to time to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our events and operating needs. You should look at the terms regularly as you are bound by them when joining club events.

The purchaser hereby acknowledges that hazards are inherent in the sport of skiing and other activities participated in by ASC members and guests, and hereby assumes all risks of injuries or damages incidental to such activities. In consideration of the mutual benefits derived from the joint participation with the Atlanta Ski Club, Inc. (Atlanta Ski Club or ASC or Club), in skiing and other activities, the purchaser does hereby absolve, release and waive any and all liability, claims or demands against the Atlanta Ski Club, Inc., and its Officers, Directors, Trip Coordinators, Employees, and each and every member thereof which may arise out of or be related to any injury, illness, damage, or pecuniary loss by reason of such membership or activity of or participation in said organization. Included but not limited to this general release are all causes arising of nonfeasance, malfeasance, or negligence of the Atlanta Ski Club, its Officers, Trip Coordinators, and Employees. Any member or guest of Atlanta Ski Club, Inc., who uses his property of loans to another his property for use on or in land, water or air at any Atlanta Ski Club event or function does so at the member’s or guest’s own risk and said member or guest waives any and all claims against Atlanta Ski Club, Inc. regardless of who uses and/or causes any damage to said property. I (we) agree to hold harmless Atlanta Ski Club, Inc., its Officers, Directors, Trip Coordinators, Members and Employees for any and all claims and the defense thereof of my (our) guests. (Family: the undersigned, as father and mother and/or guardians(s) of: (ALL CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE and all others who suffer disability), for the consideration set forth above, do hereby further release, acquit, discharge and covenant to hold harmless the Atlanta Ski Club, its Officers, Trip Coordinators, and Employees and each and every member thereof from any liability, claims, or demands arising out of or from participation in said Club or related activities by said minors and all others who suffer disability. The purchaser further promise to bind themselves jointly and severally, their heirs, administrators and executors to repay to the said Atlanta Ski Club, its Officers, Trip Coordinators, and Employees and/or each and every member thereof any sum of money that any of said parties may hereafter be compelled to pay on behalf of said minor and all others who suffer disability because of such claim. I (we) further agree to such terms and conditions as may be promulgated for any trip activity I (we) may take part in and I (we) agree to be responsible for said terms and conditions for my (our) family, guests and all others who suffer disability.

Atlanta Ski Club will not be responsible for any personal injuries, property damage, loss, delay, or change of itinerary incurred by any tour participant arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental air carrier, hotel or other persons rendering any of these services, nor will Atlanta Ski Club be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of the transportation, including bankruptcies, cancellations, schedule changes, strikes, work stoppages, storm or inclement weather, or by any reasons of any event beyond the actual control of Atlanta Ski Club, or of any agent or supplier or any act of God. All baggage and personal belongings shall at all times remain in the sole custody and control of each trip participant. Such possessions shall be transported at the owner’s sole risk of loss. Baggage and Trip cancellation insurance are highly recommended. The group shall indemnify and hold Atlanta Ski Club harmless on any claim made by a trip participant. 

Payment of any monies for reservations on a trip/tour shall constitute acceptance and consent to all provisions of the Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation:

All Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email (to both the trip coordinator AND admin@atlantaskiclub.org) to the Atlanta Ski Club and will be subject to the following charges and conditions: 

PRIOR TO 90 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE:

$300 per person cancellation fee or the greater amount if any fees passed on to the club by the travel operators if greater then cancellation fee. Transfers from one trip to another incur a $75 fee. Any transfer costs imposed by airlines or other providers will be passed on to the participant.

WITHIN 90 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE:

Entire cost of trip is due unless there is an eligible replacement. If directly replaced with a comparable replacement, the portion which may be refunded to the Atlanta Ski Club will be refunded less the $300 per person cancellation fee or the greater amount if any fees passed on to the club by the travel operators if greater then cancellation fee. Any transfer costs imposed by airlines or other providers will be passed on to the participant. 

WAIT LIST POLICY:

When a trip is filled, all extra applicants are put on a wait list in the order with their applications are received. When space becomes available, applicants are notified and the balance currently due on the payment schedule must be received by the Atlanta Ski Club within seven days. Applicants who are on the wait list and are not offered a space or who withdraw from the wait list, will be refunded their deposit. Requests to be removed from the wait list must be received in writing.

TRIP ELIGIBILITY RESERVATION POLICY: 

Only Atlanta Ski Club members in good standing may participate in Atlanta Ski Club Distant Trips. 

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: 

Persons not meeting payment schedules are subject to replacement.

PRICE INCREASES:

Prices are based on current tariffs, taxes, and fees that are provided by our operators to the best of their ability. Prices of all trips are subject to change due to unforeseen increases such as tax or fuel changes, changes in value of currency, or participant changes on trips.

RULES OF CONDUCT: 

In order to promote goodwill and relaxation at the Atlanta Ski Club activities (parties, trips, meetings, etc.) it shall be the duty of the person in charge of such activity or any member of the Board of Directors to eject from that activity, anyone whose behavior exceeds the bounds of good taste or who participates in illegal acts. Such person shall also be subject to expulsion from the Atlanta Ski Club if deemed necessary by the Board of Directors. The sole liability of the Ski Club shall be the prorated refund of the membership dues, if any, paid.

POLICY CONCERNING NON-TRIP PARTICIPANTS SHARING ROOMS:

The Atlanta Ski Club trips will be limited to only those persons whose applications and payments have been received and confirmed by the Atlanta Ski Club office. Allowing non-trip members to share accommodations will not be permitted. This policy has been established to protect the Atlanta Ski Club’s reputation with the hotel industry, to avoid inconveniencing other trip participants, and to maintain the high standards with which the Atlanta Ski Club has been associated.

RESPONSIBILITY:

The Atlanta Ski Club, Inc. and cooperating agent act only as agents and assume no responsibility or liability in connection with the service of any carriage, aircraft, motor or other conveyance which may be wholly or part in the performance of its duty to the passengers; neither will they be responsible for any act, error, or omission for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay or irregularity, which may be occasioned by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through neglect or default of any company engaged in conveying the passenger; or any hotel proprietor or hotel service or any other person engaged in carrying out the purpose for which this trip is sold. In the event it becomes necessary for any reason whatsoever to alter itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the Atlanta Ski Club. The Atlanta Ski Club reserves the right to cancel or alter any trip at any time. In case of cancellation, the Atlanta ski Club will not be liable for more than the passenger has paid to the Atlanta Ski Club. In case of lack of snow during the ski season, refund policies established by each lodging facility and ski areas will be upheld by the Atlanta Ski Club. The refund policy that governs each trip will be dependent upon the area chosen. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.

FUEL SURCHARGES:

Fuel surcharges (either domestic or international) imposed by the airlines prior to the departure of a trip will be passed onto the participant as an additional expense to the trip and will be paid by the participant.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

The Atlanta Ski Club recommends that each participant purchase “trip insurance” to help safe guard any financial loss that could be incurred in relationship to this trip application.

SMOKING POLICY: 

There will be no smoking on any Atlanta Ski Club bus trips.

WAIVER:

I agree for myself and my dependents and acknowledge the terms of payment as advertised and have read and understand the terms and conditions listed here.
