Located in northern Patagonia , Bariloche is a charming small city, with Swiss influence apparent in its chalet styled buildings and numerous chocolate shops. Bariloche serves as the gateway to one of Argentina’s most renowned ski areas – Cerro Catedral. Cerro Catedral is named for the Gothic cathedral-looking granite spirals, which grace the summit of its ski mountain. It is distinguished above other South American Resorts by having a true base village, offering slope side accommodations, and a respectable variety of restaurants, shops, cafes, and bars to suit all apres-ski and nightlife interests.
Skiers who crave powder fields and spectacular scenery, must ski from atop Cerro Catedral’s dramatic Piedra del Condor Peak (Stone of the Condor Peak). Here there are wide-open snow fields and long gullies, all above the timberline, making it the perfect locale for deep powder turns. Cerro Catedral offers terrain for all levels of ability.
Our main trip encompasses several non-ski excursions, so that you can experience the fantastic beauty of the surrounding Andes Mountains and Lake Nahuel Huapi National Park, as well as the culture and excitement of Buenos Aires with a city tour and night on the town at their world famous tango dinner show.
For those on the Iguazu Falls Extension, you’ll be able to witness firsthand, one of the most majestic and breathtaking waterfall systems on the planet. Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of the World’s Greatest Natural Wonders!
SO COME JOIN MARIO FOR A SOUTH AMERICAN SKI AND CULTURAL ADVENTURE IN BARILOCHE !!!
