Skiing in Steamboat, Colorado, offers a unique and exhilarating experience renowned for its "Champagne Powder" snow. Steamboat is actually a complete mountain range:  Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak- 2,965 acres of permitted terrain offer a diversity of trails for all levels of ability.  Gladed areas of Pioneer ridge, Sunshine and Storm Peak are Steamboat’s particular claim to fame, with legendary Champagne Powder snow in the trees for the most avid powder hounds.

The base area is located at 6900 feet and the various peaks rise as high as 10, 568 feet. There are 182 named Trails classified as 14% Beginner, 42%-Intermediate, and 44%- Advanced.  The longest run, “Why Not” is over 3 miles long. The Average Annual snowfall at Steamboat Springs is 349 inches, and there are 23 lifts from which to choose and a terrain park guaranteed to keep the free rider’s occupied.
